Swimming lessons Eindhoven
Over the past 45 years, Essink Sportcentrum in Eindhoven has already awarded 15,000 swimming diplomas. We give swimming lessons to small groups in a well-organised pool. Because an experienced swimming instructor goes into the water with the children, lessons are targeted. Thanks to this personal approach, our swimming lessons are very successful.
Our convictions have translated into a methodology that best suits the way young children learn, both from a motor and pedagogical point of view. An EasySwim Pro suit is therefore compulsory for ABC swimming at Essink and can be purchased from us for 64.95.
Essink Sports Centre has developed a unique 8-step plan for swimming lessons that focuses on fun, variety and safety. For each step, the children receive a reward. As a result, children really enjoy going to swimming lessons.
Dolphin 8-step plan
The dolphin roadmap consists of 8 steps (8 puzzle pieces of a dolphin) on the way to a swimming certificate. If your child performs certain techniques well during the lesson, they will receive a dolphin puzzle piece as a reward. When the dolphin is complete, your child is ready to start swimming in the deep pool (where they often achieve the A diploma within 4 weeks).

We offer the one and only swimming ABC diploma
Our swimming school only works with qualified instructors to ensure the safety and quality of lessons. We also find it very important that our instructors have good social skills and can deal with young children in a fun way. Besides being instructive, swimming lessons should above all be fun.
Quality, fun and safety
In the Netherlands, anyone can offer swimming lessons and issue a swimming certificate. In fact, this is not regulated by law. Unfortunately, the various swimming diplomas do not always lead to the same National Swimming Safety Standard.
However, we have the National Swimming Diploma Licence and are tested independently every year by the National Swimming Safety Council Foundation (formerly National Platform Swimming Pools | NRZ). Thus, as a parent, you can be sure that the swimming lessons and swimming diploma meet the latest quality criteria and lay the foundations for a lifetime of swimming fun and safety.
This gives you as a parent/carer 4 assurances:
- Licensed and qualified swimming teachers
So that your child is in safe hands and enjoys going to swimming lessons. For example, the swimming teachers work according to the Swimming Industry Code of Conduct, have a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and follow refresher courses. - Officially recognised swimming diploma
Your child will receive the National Swimming Diplomas A, B and C. By obtaining the National Swimming Diploma C, your child meets the National Swimming Safety Standard. These official diplomas are recognised, for example, by fire brigades, police forces and sports schools for various professions. - A clearly described method
The swimming lessons provider uses a clearly described swimming lesson method, so you can decide which provider suits your child best. During the swimming lessons, you as a parent will also be kept well informed of your child’s progress. - Good quality
A consistent quality of the swimming lessons provider, guaranteed by independent annual checks and tests during the diploma swim.
So: choose consciously and go for certainty.
