Essink is now ready to welcome you RIVM-proof. In addition to exercising in a responsible manner, we find it especially important that you can enjoy sports with us. In this post you can read more about what a visit to us from 1 July will look like with regard to the most important points of the RIVM guidelines.
1.5 meters away
Just like everywhere else, the one and a half meter rule will also apply at Essink. This rule is guaranteed at every sports location. The most effective way to do this is to limit the number of people in the building. Central to this is the mandatory reservation of sports time via the Essink app. In this way we let fitness and Milon athletes in, in this way we guarantee that it will never be busy in the room. The group lessons also have a maximum number of participants.
We ask you as much as possible to change clothes and shower at home. Our facilities are open, but we ask you to observe the 1.5 meter rule.
Milon
Sports on the Milon Circle is also 1.5 meters away. We do this by always leaving a machine free between the participants. Instead of three cardio machines, there are now two.
Ventilation
Our modern ventilation system more than meets the RIVM conditions, we set the system in such a way that 100% fresh outside air is always blown in.

At the entrance is a no-touch dispenser with an alcohol-based hand disinfectant. Disinfection of the hands is mandatory before exercising.

We ask you as much as possible to change clothes and shower at home. Our facilities are open, but we ask you to observe the 1.5 meter rule.
Hygiene
All employees make every effort to keep materials and, among other things, door handles clean. We do this at least 5 times a day. There are also means available to clean materials yourself. If you opt for maximum protection, you can use disposable gloves for free, so that all contact is avoided. Use of towel is mandatory on all appliances and mats.
Essink app
Since the beginning of May we have started with the Essink app and we are delighted to see that so many members have already started using it enthusiastically. Many have already become used to reserving a place during the Pop-Up Gym. From July 1, the app will serve as a triage, so we make sure that no one with symptoms is exercising. Without a reservation it is not possible to exercise with us. You can make a reservation right before the start, so it does not have to mean that you always have to plan ahead.
Memberships
Because we will reopen on July 1 as you are used to from us, all paused memberships will be activated. We, NL-Actief, RIVM and the Dutch Government are convinced that safe exercise in a fitness center is possible. Through this email we hope to have given you a good impression that we take your safety seriously and that we make every effort to guarantee responsible sports.
